Vice President, Children's Educational Services Location: London, Ontario (Hybrid role) Start Date: June 15, 2025 Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 Summary: The Vice President is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the CEO on all matters related to CES operations. The position includes direct line supervision of Executive Regional Managers and Regional Managers of Quality and Financial Administration. The role carries Association-wide responsibility for licensed early year programs, unlicensed before and after school programs and Early ON and Family Centres. As part of your total compensation: Complimentary YMCA personal membership to Health & Fitness facilities Access to Y at Home fitness programs from home Discounts on YMCA childcare and camp programs Vacation entitlement and paid personal days annually as per your employment agreement Benefits package and pension where applicable Complimentary access to wellness and counselling services Schedule: Primarily Monday - Friday work Available on call for emergency situations 24/7, 365 days per year Considerable driving between sites within Southwestern Ontario In this role, you will: Contribute to the planning and achievement of strategic outcomes, bringing insight into factors affecting Child Care operations, including workforce planning, operational efficiencies and potential transformation and implementation of a national childcare agreement Be accountable for the delivery of high‑quality care in accordance with legislative requirements, YMCA policies and best practices, and defined curriculums for licensed Child Care and School‑Age programs Participate in the Regional Development Centre Childcare working group Oversee annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting to municipal funders as required Work alongside government and community partners to increase understanding of challenges and factors impacting children and families, and advocate for funding and service partnerships as appropriate Continuously advocate for required investment in compensation to ensure a competitive position in the labour market Ensure a current succession plan and career pathways are created Education & Skills Qualifications: Post‑secondary education in a related field Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in complex and multi‑site operations, with the ability and willingness to perform hands‑on support as required Deep knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, How Does Learning Happen?, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, and provincial and municipal guidelines related to childcare operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong change‑management skills and the ability to build a collaborative team culture High emotional intelligence (self‑awareness, self‑regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills) Proficient Excel skills and good working knowledge of all Microsoft applications, email and internet applications Training and experience in financial management, including budget preparation Current criminal record check as per the Association’s policy Valid driver’s licence Legally entitled to work in Canada To Apply: Include in your submission your specialized experience and why you are the best candidate for this role.
