Dealer‑FX is a leading provider of AI‑powered solutions that streamline automotive service operations and enhance the customer experience. We are seeking a Principal Product Designer to advance the technologies that help automotive retailers manage their service operations and delight their customers. This role requires a customer‑obsessed, research‑driven leader who thrives in ambiguity, simplifies complex problems, and guides a cross‑functional team in designing intuitive web‑based applications. As a key member of the Product team, you will lead the end‑to‑end design process from generative discovery through to iterative product delivery. You will own the vision for parts of the Dealer‑FX product, drive the evolution of our design system, and champion design excellence and technical innovation across the organization. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end projects, leading UX initiatives such as design sprints, research, wireframing, prototyping, and stakeholder reviews. Shape product strategy through design thinking, human‑centered research, and iteration. Propose new concepts, challenge the status quo, and advocate design value across teams. Balance strategic research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual details to solve user problems. Stay current with emerging trends in consumer behavior, technology, and design. Deliver high‑quality, timely work that meets user needs without sacrificing speed. Collaborate with cross‑platform and cross‑product teams, leveraging domain expertise to build foundational features. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 9+ years of product design or UX experience. Experience building visual design systems across platforms. Robust portfolio demonstrating direct contributions to multiple projects. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma). Preferred Qualifications Strong storytelling ability, translating complex data into compelling insights. Experience with accessibility, inclusive design, and interaction fundamentals. Animation and video storytelling skills (After Effects, Principle, Premiere, etc.). Background in creating personas, user journeys, storyboards, and value propositions. Collaboration with Design Research to amplify impact. Type design and animation experience. Comfort working in ambiguity and conceptualizing new ideas. Understanding of emerging technologies and future‑focused visioning. Passion for design and trend awareness. Track record of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leaders. Experience delivering team‑based design solutions within Agile SaaS or enterprise environments. What’s in it for You Competitive compensation (US$130,000‑$150,000 per year).
