Overview The Department of Geography and Environment at Trinity Western University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Geography and Environment. The successful applicant will be able to teach in established undergraduate degree programs in Geography and Environmental Studies and will have an ongoing research program in her/his field. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in physical geography, including Geomorphology, Geology, Soils, Climatology, Environmental Chemistry, and related disciplines. Develop and deliver courses in hydrology, biogeography, agroecology, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Teach introductory courses in Geography and Environmental Studies as needed. Engage in scholarly research and develop a research program in a related field. Qualifications Completed or near completion of a PhD in Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Strong teaching record and ability to work across multiple physical geography disciplines. Preferred experience instructing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
