Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Sales Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in representing a technology revolution in space. You possess superb communication skills and can concisely convey technical information to all levels of customer team members. What You’ll Do Play a key role in business growth as the technical counterpart to the sales team. Help customers understand how our solutions meet their needs—from initial presentations through deployment planning. Ask probing questions to better understand the customer’s business needs and match them with a compelling service solution. Use engineering knowledge in Satellite, VSAT/UT, and IP Communications to ensure partners provide the best possible solutions. Drive revenue by partnering with sales, product, and commercial teams. Provide in‑depth customer technical support, lead technical trials, influence market requirements, and drive sales. What You’ll Need Technical pre‑sales support for Eutelsat’s products in the Americas region. Liaise with key customers to influence early sales cycles, qualify opportunities, and shape product offerings. Extensive technical knowledge to address customer questions around capability and network integration. Deep understanding of satellite concepts, ground networks, IP routing, QoS, and queue behaviors. Passion for technology and ability to become a trusted consultant. Drive capabilities of Eutelsat LEO & GEO global networks to prospective customers. Provide field feedback to improve products and go‑to‑market strategies. Define and oversee customer trials with adaptive troubleshooting. What It Takes Proven experience providing technical advice and solutions to customers in the Americas region. Understanding of satellite and system integrator customer base, telco/Carrier challenges. Knowledge of end‑to‑end satellites, data networking, traffic management, QoS, and network security. Strong communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. Commercially astute with negotiation skills and influence ability. Creative thinker and solution focused. What We’d Love BSc/BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent. Technical understanding of conventional VSAT, MilSatcom, GEO, MEO, & LEO systems. Strong understanding of gateways, networking, LTE/5G connectivity, and service platforms. Experience with Satcom User Terminal Equipment for mobile and fixed installations. Working knowledge of IP Networking and Class of Service (CoS) using DSCP. Familiarity with 3GPP/LTE systems. Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
