About the role

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for assisting with Tier 1 IT support. Main responsibilities include technician support, troubleshooting, and use account administration for the Westbow Group of Companies.

Hourly Wage Range: $20.00-$25.00/hr.

What you'll be doing

Supporting the IT team with ticket system, tracking issues, and ensuring timely solutions.
Prioritizing tasks and tickets based on urgency.
Documenting all support tickets and inventory transactions.
Conducting inventory audits and updating records; insuring inventory is accurately tracked and maintained.
Providing first level technical support to employees via phone, email and in-person.
Testing fixes to ensure problems have been resolved.
Supporting the IT department with miscellaneous tasks.

What we're looking for

Experience in an IT Technician position or related field
Basic understanding of IT concepts, including hardware, software, networking, and operating systems to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
Familiarity with Windows operating systems
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles
Post Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or related program is an asset
Prior experience in a help desk or technician support role is an asset
Excels in Microsoft Office 365
