Job Overview As Senior Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Reliability Standards & Regulation to develop and implement strategies that maintain and improve Hydro One’s reliability compliance. Your role will involve internal coordination and external representation before North American regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities Develop strategies and initiatives to achieve corporate reliability objectives and seize opportunities. Leverage internal and external expertise to anticipate industry trends and support Hydro One’s compliance posture. Represent Hydro One at regulatory authorities such as FERC, NERC, NPCC, IESO, issuing reports on emerging standards and compliance issues. Coordinate compliance audits, benchmarking, and improvement initiatives across Hydro One. Support the Reliability Standards Compliance Committee with governance and decision‑making on regulatory matters. Partner with Planning and Strategy teams to align reliability efforts with corporate strategy, budgets, and performance targets. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for a team of reliability specialists. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; P.Eng. license in Ontario required. 8+ years of progressive experience in reliability, regulatory compliance, or related fields. In-depth knowledge of electrical power systems, transmission codes, and reliability standards (NERC, NPCC, IESO). Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Hydro One information systems.
