Sr. Mgr, Rel Stnds Readiness & Strategy Date: Oct 31, 2025 Location: Toronto, ON, CA Hydro One is Ontario’s largest electricity transmission and distribution provider, serving 1.5 million customers. It’s an exciting time to join the team at Hydro One General Accountabilities Externally representing and advocating for Hydro One’s business interests to North American reliability standards authorities and regulators (FERC, NERC, NPCC, OEB, IESO/ MACD and CER) on emerging reliability standards, material revisions and compliance matters in Ontario. Internally driving, facilitating, assessing, and reporting upon Hydro One’s preparations for achieving and sustaining compliance with applicable standards. Internally informing, advising and supporting Hydro One’s RSCC in its governance and oversight roles, and in particular in response to emerging matters related to North American reliability standards and IESO market rules. Specific Accountabilities Work collaboratively with Planning management to adopt, adapt, and continuously improve business performance and compliance processes, including: Adopt, adapt, invent, and advance performance assessment methods. Implement fact‑gathering operations for trend tracking and threat detection. Identify and prioritize initiatives for continuous improvement, accounting for logistics, interdependencies, and priorities. Provide alternatives, assessment, and decision analysis to support execution and obtain approvals. Develop a reference plan framework for the effective planning, maintenance, and operation of planning tools and databases. Participate in preparing submissions and serve as witness for applications to regulatory agencies (OEB, MOEE, NEB, and others). Lead specific initiatives such as audits, benchmarking, and major customer response/support activities. Managerial Leadership Accountabilities Accountability for the output of subordinates, ensuring compliance, and fostering a high‑performance, inclusive, and safe work environment, including: Setting objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate goals. Ensuring legal, regulatory, and policy compliance. Establishing two‑way communication to solicit staff input and drive continuous improvement. Guiding, coaching, and evaluating staff to build competence and effectiveness. Translating corporate goals into actionable tasks and communicating direction. Providing a safe, healthy, and diverse workplace that promotes well‑being. Demonstrating stewardship of assets and protecting environmental and human resources. Selection Criteria 4‑year university degree in Engineering or Science and a P.Eng. licence in Ontario. Master of Business Administration considered an asset. Knowledge of electrical power systems, transmission design, reliability analysis, and performance reporting. Familiarity with Transmission System Code, Distribution System Code, IESO, and OEB reliability standards. Strategic and tactical mindset with ability to translate directives into actionable outcomes. Experience managing or supervising a diverse team toward common goals. Knowledge of regulatory processes for filings and evidence development. Strong leadership, communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder‑management skills. High degree of professionalism, initiative, self‑motivation, and independence. Solid understanding of business methods, processes, and change‑management techniques. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Hydro One information systems. Experience with project‑management tools and cross‑functional team leadership. 8+ years of progressive relevant work experience.
