Wedding Sales Manager

The Wedding Sales Manager will initiate the venue booking process for couples interested in hosting their wedding at Hotel X Toronto and manage all aspects from initial lead to contract signing. The ideal candidate possesses a dynamic personality, is a savvy negotiator, and leads with kindness. Responsibilities include creating custom menus and floorplans, preparing cost estimates and contracts, confirming hotel suites and amenities, and ensuring the delivery of the couple’s specific wedding vision. Role and Responsibilities Respond to all new leads within 24 business hours. Track all leads in the operating system, including lead source. Conduct site visits for potential wedding clients. Provide accurate estimates based on food and beverage minimums, rental rates, and staffing costs. Create custom floorplans respecting room capacities, health and safety considerations, and emergency exits. Enter accurate food and beverage minimums into the system to ensure revenue accuracy. Negotiate contract terms, including costs and inclusions. Coordinate with clients and planners to record details and communicate with the Catering Services Manager. Assist clients with food and beverage choices, event setup, and other services. Communicate hotel policies and health and safety protocols clearly. Maintain effective communication throughout the sales process to ensure guest satisfaction. Keep detailed records of client requests and deliverables for a smooth transition to the Catering Services Manager. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Catering & Events. Qualifications 3-5 years of wedding experience in a hotel or related industry; experience in a luxury hotel is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Driven by sales targets to meet catering revenue goals. Lead with elegance and an anticipatory mindset to deliver five-star service. Ability to adapt to each client’s needs, multitask, and prioritize effectively. Capable of handling stressful situations and resolving conflicts. Experience in catering, event sales, or event planning is an asset. Knowledge of sales techniques and customer service skills. Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills. Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with varying schedules based on business needs. Attendance at scheduled training and meetings is required.
