Assistant Professor, Supply Chain Management – Department of Decision Sciences, School of Business Competition Number: 25.10.289 Category: Full-Time Tenure-Track Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business invites applications for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. The Department of Decision Sciences is an interdisciplinary department within the School of Business with faculty members that specialize in quantitative research methods, supply chain management, operations research, economics, insurance and risk management, data analytics, and decision research. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the department’s focus on excellence in undergraduate teaching and in conducting high-impact research. Further information about the department can be found at: https://www.macewan.ca/academics/academic-departments/decision-sciences/ Responsibilities Teach existing undergraduate courses in supply chain management, including global supply chain management, business logistics management, transportation, supply chain resource planning, principles of quality management, procurement and supply management, and supply chain risk management. Help develop additional courses in this area. Conduct high-impact research in supply chain management or a closely related field. Build and foster industry relations and promote the student co‑op program within Alberta and beyond. Qualifications Must have, or be close to completion of, a terminal degree in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field. Provide evidence of an ongoing research stream in supply chain management or a closely related field such as supply chain analytics, logistics, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. Professional/industry experience in supply chain management, especially in logistics management and procurement in the Canadian context, is highly desirable.
