Position Summary: CSN Collision is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The Auto Body Technician is responsible for taking a damaged vehicle and repairing or restoring it to its original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and capable of multitasking to accommodate shifting priorities. Primary Objectives of the Auto Body (Collision Repair) Technician: Review damage reports and repair estimates, plan the necessary work Thoroughly examine collision damage, including exterior body parts, power accessories, and warning lights Perform structural and complete body repairs: Repair and replace front-end components, body parts, doors, frame, and underbody components Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment, hammer out dents and defects Weld on vehicles using MIG welders and spot welders Disassemble damaged vehicle areas to identify hidden damages early in the repair process File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting, apply primers, and repaint Fill holes, dents, and seams using soldering equipment or plastic fillers Restore vehicles to factory/OEM specifications Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for proper handling Read and understand repair estimates and procedures Work with various metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts Use frame and measuring equipment, disassemble and reassemble vehicles Perform other duties as assigned Auto Body Repair and refinishing experience - 3+ years required Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License (preferred) or in a registered apprenticeship program Certifications such as I-Car and OEM are favorable Experience with welding, lifting, and working with various tools Valid driver's license required Own tools and safety footwear required Up-to-date compliance training (AODA, WHMIS, etc.) and knowledge of information security (PIPEDA) 3 to 5 years of working knowledge of Mitchell / Audatex What we offer: Bonus and other supplemental pay Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Disclaimer: This job description may not include all duties and responsibilities and may evolve as CSN continues to grow.
