Since 2002, CSN has grown to become a leader in collision repair with over 400 collision repair centres across Canada, the USA, and Italy.Position Summary:CSN Collision is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The Auto Body Technician is responsible for repairing or restoring damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and capable of multitasking to accommodate shifting priorities.Primary Responsibilities:Review damage reports and repair estimates; plan work accordinglyExamine collision damage thoroughly, review exterior body parts, check power accessories, and ensure no warning lights are activePerform structural and body repairs, including replacing front end components, doors, frames, and underbody partsStraighten bent frames with pulling and anchoring equipment; hammer out dents and defectsWeld using MIG and spot weldersDismantle damaged vehicle areas to identify hidden damages early in the repair processFile, grind, and sand repaired surfaces; mask and prepare surfaces for paintingApply primers, paint surfaces, and restore vehicle to factory specificationsInspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives for proper handlingRead and interpret repair estimates and proceduresWork with various metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical partsUse frame and measuring equipment; disassemble and reassemble vehiclesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum 3+ years of auto body repair and refinishing experienceAuto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License or in a registered apprenticeship (preferred but not mandatory)I-Car and OEM certifications are advantageousWelding certification (I-Car) preferredAbility to lift up to 100 lbs, stand, sit, walk, reachValid driver’s license requiredOwn tools and safety footwearUp-to-date compliance training (AODA, WHMIS, safety awareness, workplace violence/harassment, PIPEDA)3-5 years of experience with Mitchell/AudatexBenefits:Bonus payHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time offAdditional Information:This job description may evolve as CSN continues to grow.
