Director of Finance Our client is an international mining and materials company focused on supporting the global transition to clean energy. With operations around the world and strategic expansion projects across North America. What you will achieve in this role Lead the preparation and filing of consolidated and subsidiary financial statements, MD&A, and regulatory reports in compliance with IFRS and local standards. Manage the external audit process, including coordination with auditors and resolution of inquiries. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare financial analyses and reports for senior management and the Board to support strategic decision‑making. Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, acquisitions, and divestitures. Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting collaboration, development, and high performance. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and compliance. Stay updated on accounting and regulatory developments and communicate their impact to stakeholders. What you must bring to this role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required 5+ years auditing mining companies at a public accounting firm 5+ years progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably in publicly traded mining companies Strong knowledge of IFRS, Canadian accounting standards, and TSX reporting requirements Experience managing external audits and interacting with auditors Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices Proficient in financial software and tools (ERP systems, Excel, reporting software) Only those who are qualified will be contacted.
