At TSP, our track record of successfully completing challenging searches across the professional spectrum has earned us an exceptional reputation at the forefront of the recruitment industry. Our Canadian and International clients include: global banks and non-bank financial institutions, private equity and investment funds, professional service firms, and entrepreneurial businesses in a variety of industries. We value the human connection and distinguish ourselves through an unwavering dedication to understanding the goals and motivations of our clients and candidates alike. Our Client Our client is leading private provider of in-home senior care services, operating within a franchise-based model with a strong presence across Ontario and Canada. The organization delivers premium, nurse-led care to private-pay and select government-supported clients, with a focus on high-quality service, clinical oversight, and personalized care. The company has an established footprint in the Ottawa market, where it has operated for many years and serves a large, growing client base. With strong foundational teams in place and increasing demand for private in-home care, the organization is focused on strengthening local leadership to support continued growth and operational excellence. Position Overview Reporting to the President, our client is seeking a General Manager to lead its Ottawa operations. This role has overall accountability for day-to-day performance, people leadership, and operational execution across multiple locations in the region. The General Manager will be closely involved in the business, providing hands-on leadership to ensure consistent service delivery, strong team performance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is an experienced operator with a proven track record leading multi-site, service-driven businesses. They bring a practical, execution-oriented mindset, strong people leadership skills, and the ability to build structure and accountability within complex, people-intensive environments. This is an attractive opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful regional business within a mission-driven organization and play a key role in strengthening and scaling a high-potential Ontario market. Role Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of growth strategies, including new programs, partnerships, and market entry initiatives. Identify and secure opportunities with healthcare providers, community organizations, and private partners to expand reach and create innovative care pathways (e.g., transitional hospital-to-home programs, dementia support initiatives, cluster care models). Oversee special projects that enhance visibility and revenue, including marketing pilots, new digital initiatives, and local market growth campaigns. Translate strategic ideas into actionable plans while managing multiple stakeholders and timelines. Build strong credibility with an experienced senior leadership team, contributing to both day-to-day progress and long-term vision. Desired Qualifications Background leading multi-location or multi-unit operations, ideally with exposure to healthcare, private services, or other client-centered industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience turning strategy into operational outcomes. Commercial orientation, with a demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue. Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at senior levels internally and externally. Executive maturity, resilience, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven environment. Please note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role. We appreciate your interest in this role. In sharing your resume, you place your trust in us to treat you with integrity and respect and act in your best interests. All resumes will be held in the strictest of confidence. Those who most closely meet our client’s requirements will be contacted for an interview. Please pass this opportunity forward.
