You will be a key member, and will be required to **travel frequently to both locations.** **Why Join Us?** - Good financial health and fast-growing company - A dedicated and accessible team - A corporate culture of generosity, respect and recognition - Competitive compensation and benefit package **About Ram Overhead Door Systems and The Door Company** - Family-owned businesses founded in 1979 (The Door Company) and in 1984 (Ram Overhead Door Systems), we are now united in 1 company - A growing company with over 50 employees - A leader in the garage door industry - In excellent financial health - Strong organic growth and accelerated growth through acquisitions - Both a Distributor and Dealer of residential and commercial garage doors - 2 locations, 1 in Ottawa, 1 in Metcalfe - Strategically partnered with Garaga, a large Manufacturer in Canada - A strong basis of finance and accounting is in its DNA - A clear mission and vision with strong values. **About Ram Overhead Door Systems & The Door Company Corporate Team** - Open-minded Presidents and Board willing to benefit from your experience - A stimulating and evolving environment - Very receptive to new technologies - A lot of change and agility **General Manager Key Responsibilities**: - Resolve issues and complaints arising from the operations between customers and the company. - Accountable for all aspects relating to the work of the Operations Managers and the Sales Managers. - Coordinates day-to-day operations of the RAM Doors and The Door Company locations. - Ensure a process is in place for proper hiring, training, and evaluation of employee performance. - Ensure that sales targets are met by creating strategies, providing support and follow up on results. - Prepare sales tracking and reporting tools for Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting to the Regional Director. - Accountable for all aspects of financial management - cost control, inventory, sales, and margins tracking to budget. - Create and maintain solid relationships with key clients. - Help staff on duties, fill temporary gaps or assist the team where needed. - Ensure that all corporate policies are fulfilled (e.g., health and safety). - A leader toward a healthy and positive workplace to achieve an employee retention rate above 90%. - Develop strategies for attracting and finding talent to ensure a full new hire onboarding process is in place and being executed. - Achieve or exceed budgeted top-line revenue, gross profit, and net income. **The General Manager we are looking for**: - College diploma or University degree in business - Proficiency in MS Office suite - Post-secondary courses in business or related studies an asset - Very good organizational skills - Hard-working and dependable - Outstanding positive leadership skills - Needs high speed and stable internet connection at home since,work from home canbe required **IMPORTANT: **Diversity.
