Associate, Accounting & Finance Forager Real Estate Partners is expanding its team with the addition of Associate, Accounting & Finance . This role will work closely with the executive team on accounting and finance matters at both the corporate level and across the firm’s portfolio of ground‑up development and income‑producing real estate projects in Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will play a key role in the firm’s financial operations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and third‑party service providers, and gain meaningful exposure to corporate, fund, and project‑level accounting within a growing real‑estate investment and development platform. Responsibilities Cash management across multiple entities, including forecasting and liquidity tracking Accounts payable and receivable including intercompany transactions, and HST Preparation and review of journal entries and trial balances and general ledger maintenance across corporate, fund, and project-level entities Coordination of quarterly and annual financial statements, audits, and tax filings with external advisors in both Canada and the US Preparation of management and partner reporting, including capital calls and distributions Oversight of daily banking activities, reconciliations, and payment controls Preparation and submission of monthly construction loan draws with lenders and project monitors Project-level accounts payable processing and cost tracking against approved budgets HST input tax credit tracking and reconciliation Maintenance of project cash flow models and investor waterfall forecasts Support for project audits, lender reporting, and financing-related analyses Financial oversight support for third-party property managers and asset management activities Preferred Experience and Qualifications Post‑secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business administration CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification 2 or more years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in commercial real estate, development, construction and/or professional services Strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and professional communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with commercial real estate or development accounting systems preferred Highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines High level of integrity, accountability, and willingness to take ownership About Forager Forager is a private equity real estate investment, asset management, and development firm operating in Canada and the United States.
