Role Description The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of environmental construction and consulting projects from global, high‑profile clients to smaller projects, ensuring costs are estimated properly including bond and insurance requirements of the bid. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working. You will help manage the delivery of cost management in the environmental construction sector of small, medium and large projects, ensuring standards of delivery meet defined objectives. Accountabilities Responsible for conceptual planning, pre‑bid, hard‑bid, and negotiated contracts. Interpret and quantify plans and specifications, survey existing site conditions, solicit material and subcontractor bids. Prepare cost estimates, compile bid documents and proposals. Prepare estimating procedures and conduct overall estimating reviews and justifications. Support the Project Controls team in decision‑making and create project costings and budgets. Lead and comply with Arcadis requirements for bonding and insurance during pursuits. Lead or participate in GO/NO GO calls and Global Pursuit Committee calls. Lead and manage individual cost management assignments from inception to completion; oversee teams and resources. Monitor and review performance of team members, educate and influence others, ensure compliance with policies and codes of conduct. Ensure compliance with contracts in terms of delivery parameters and scope of service. Analyze and compile complex data and documents; review and assess analysis; provide recommendations. Apply industry best practices to develop cost and commercial management systems. Manage relationships with customers to identify opportunities for improving the cost management offering. Act as a key technical resource in cost and commercial management, providing advice and solutions to internal colleagues. Build valued relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and drive new business. Key Skills & Attributes High‑level technical knowledge of environmental construction processes and cost and commercial management. Strong business development and selling skills on project/client teams. Excellent professional, interpersonal and communication skills. Innovative problem‑solving abilities. Excellent writing skills. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying) and 10+ years of relevant experience. Relevant professional certification (e.g., AACE, RICS or similar). Experience delivering medium/large projects across the entire project life cycle. Experience managing people and demonstrating leadership skills. Experience building and managing client relationships at senior‑management level. Salary The salary range for this position is $95,900–$178,100. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
