Senior Estimator – Acoustics & Noise Control Full-Time | In Person – Cornwall, ON We are seeking an accomplished Senior Estimator to lead the estimating function for large-scale, technically demanding noise control projects. You will be responsible for developing winning bid strategies, producing accurate and competitive cost estimates, and serving as a trusted technical resource for our clients and internal teams. This senior role demands a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to manage multiple complex bids simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Strategic Estimating Lead the preparation of competitive, accurate, and profitable cost estimates for advanced noise control solutions, including silencers, enclosures, acoustic panels, and integrated mechanical systems. Interpret and analyze complex specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documents to assess scope, risk, and technical requirements. Develop pricing strategies and recommend competitive positioning for high-value bids. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and suppliers to determine optimal material costs, lead times, and technical solutions. Prepare comprehensive bid packages and RFQs for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Identify and implement value-engineering options that improve cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or performance. Participate in senior-level client meetings, pre-bid discussions, and negotiations as the technical authority. Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and sales staff, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and best practices. Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure a smooth handoff from bid to execution. Maintain and improve estimating templates, cost databases, and tracking systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Business Development Support Support the identification and qualification of high-value project opportunities through tender platforms, industry networks, and direct client engagement. Represent the company professionally at industry events, site visits, and client presentations. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers in target markets. Qualifications 7+ years of progressive experience in estimating, preferably within mechanical, construction, or acoustics industries. Proven expertise in sound attenuation/acoustic products and mechanical noise control systems. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, tendering processes, and technical specifications. Demonstrated success leading bids for high-value, complex industrial or infrastructure projects. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or specialized estimating software is a strong asset. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
