Job Description GovDeals is seeking a service-oriented, self-starter to support clients of its nationwide online auction platform for government agencies. This role is highly hands-on and client-facing, combining onsite and in-field services with training and support to ensure clients and buyers have a seamless experience. You’ll manage an existing client base, assist with special projects, and help grow utilization across departments while representing GovDeals in a professional and positive manner. Why Join GovDeals? Responsibilities Train and Support Clients : Provide onsite and remote training on GovDeals’ auction platform. Assist clients with new features and best practices to maximize success. Onsite and Field Services : Catalog assets, gather detailed descriptions, and photograph items for auction listings. Release assets to winning bidders on behalf of sellers, ensuring smooth handoff. Work in diverse environments—boardrooms, warehouses, storage yards, and outdoor locations in varying weather conditions. Buyer Interaction : Meet with buyers during asset pickup to verify documentation and ensure compliance. Provide guidance and resolve any issues during the transfer process. Auction Oversight : Monitor client auction listings for accuracy, quality, and adherence to sound auction practices. Ensure timely and successful delivery of GovDeals solutions tailored to client needs. Client Relationship Management : Conduct regular follow-ups to encourage increased platform usage. Collaborate with internal teams (Business Development, Account Management, Client Services) to maximize client returns. Assist in re-engaging inactive clients and support special projects nationwide. Representation and Growth : Attend and present at client meetings and large conferences as required. Represent GovDeals professionally to government and public sector clients. Qualifications Education/ Experience : 2+ years of hands-on technical account management/customer service experience. Inside or outside sales experience is ideal – relevant training will be provided CRM experience, preferred. Skills : Strong work ethic & time management. High level of teamwork required to effectively collaborate with various departments (i.e. Marketing, Client Services, Customer Service, Business Development, Sales Support, etc) Well-developed Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Web Presentation and Internet search skills Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability : Candidate must be adaptable (able to work in a variety of settings and weather conditions, i.e. train and present in a boardroom, gather pics/descriptions in a storage yard w/inclement weather, un-air-conditioned warehouses, etc.) Work Conditions/ Physical Demands : Work is primarily performed in a home office setting. Candidate must reside in an area with access to high-speed internet service and cellular phone service. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, climb, stand for long periods of time. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. May need to travel to company meetings, client sites and/or conferences as needed. May need to provide onsite and in-field services in both indoor and outdoor settings in a variety of weather conditions. Location : Remote work from home, ideally near one of our locations: Travel : 40-60% Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for other compensation, such as commission. The salary range for this position is $,55,800 to $69,800 annually. The variable pay includes commission, which is based on sales. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
