Role Overview Domaine Studio is looking for a Technical Lead who will be responsible for the successful delivery, implementation, and maintenance of all technical aspects of eCommerce websites built on Shopify. This client‑facing role works closely with partners to understand their business needs and provide technical solutions, working collaboratively with other departments and technology partners. The Technical Lead leads the engineering project team through implementation, including code review, front‑end architecture solutioning, third‑party integrations, and release management. Responsibilities Own front‑end feature development and drive both completion and quality. Apply expert knowledge and experience with the Shopify eCommerce platform. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure a high level of quality. Communicate verbally and in writing to describe issues to clients, developers, and product managers. Maintain high attention to detail, catching issues within acceptance criteria, edge cases, and other potential issues. Make high‑level decisions weighing options between code quality, issues, and timely releases. Plan and delegate tasks to other engineering team members as required. Anticipate risks and provide solutions. Distill complex asks into actionable solutions and tasks. Work closely with the client to understand business requirements, use cases, and product roadmap to inform decisions. Skills & Experience Senior‑level development experience with front‑end frameworks including Liquid, JavaScript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, Git. Strong understanding of Shopify development: Themes, APIs, Apps, Functions, Extensions. Experience working with JIRA/Confluence or other ticket‑management systems. 3–5 years of experience in eCommerce. Excellent communication skills, oral and written; experience writing technical documentation and presenting to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Thorough knowledge of web performance, accessibility, data querying, API request handling, component structure and design systems. Clear understanding of user behaviors and marketing sciences in eCommerce. Solid grasp of software development lifecycles and methodologies. Expertise in software documentation and technical writing. Validate project estimates and approaches for assigned work. Mentor and lead engineers on project teams, including junior and mid‑level engineers.
