Employment: Part Time

Location:  Remote with 1-2 days a week in Vancouver office

Reports to: Director of Product Management

Salary: CA$30-50 per hour

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented and creative Multimedia Graphic Designer as we establish our creative services team. The Multimedia Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that align with our brand's voice and objectives. From marketing materials to digital assets, this role requires a mix of creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail to produce high-quality graphics that engage and inspire our audience. The ideal candidate will have experience in both print and digital design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a passion for delivering innovative, impactful designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design Creation & Execution:

  • Create and design engaging graphics for a variety of marketing materials, including digital ads, social media posts, brochures, banners, presentations, and website assets.
  • Develop visually appealing and on-brand materials for internal and external communications, ensuring consistency with the company's overall design language.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and other departments to understand design needs and execute concepts that effectively convey the intended message.

Branding & Visual Identity:

  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across all visual communications and platforms.
  • Work with the creative team to enhance and evolve the brand's visual identity as needed.

Digital and Print Design:

  • Design assets for digital platforms, such as websites, social media, email campaigns, and online advertisements.
  • Produce print-ready designs for promotional materials, product packaging, and event collateral.

Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and content teams, to ensure designs meet the project's goals and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.

Photo & Video Editing (if applicable):

  • Edit and enhance photos and videos to be used in digital and print designs.
  • Ensure multimedia elements are high-quality and aligned with the brand's aesthetic.

Creative Innovation & Trend Awareness:

  • Stay updated with design trends, tools, and technology to bring fresh, innovative ideas to projects.
  • Proactively suggest new concepts, layouts, and techniques to keep design work exciting and relevant to our audience.

Feedback & Revisions:

  • Take feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions into designs while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Work closely with other team members to iterate designs as necessary, ensuring alignment with project goals and brand consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a creative services or marketing environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and color theory.
  • Experience with both digital and print design, with a solid understanding of design for web and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling and easy-to-understand designs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for consistency and quality.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects across digital and print mediums.
