Responsibilities:
Sofa and Furniture Upholstery: Perform upholstery tasks on sofas and other furniture, including measuring, cutting, sewing, and attaching fabric, foam, and padding.

Material Handling: Select and handle upholstery materials (fabric, leather, foam) according to job specifications.

Frame Preparation: Inspect and prepare furniture frames for upholstery by making necessary repairs or adjustments.

Quality Control Ensure all upholstery work meets the highest quality standards with meticulous attention to detail.

Custom Orders Work on custom upholstery projects, adhering to specific customer requirements and design specifications.

Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment as required.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on upholstery tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in upholstery, specifically in crafting and upholstering sofas.

Skills: Proficiency in using upholstery tools and equipment, including sewing machines and staple guns.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship in upholstery work.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot upholstery issues.

Flexibility: Willingness to work additional hours or adjust shifts as needed to meet project deadlines.

Certification Formal training or certification in upholstery is an asset.

Design Sense: A keen eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to interpret design specifications and patterns.
