We are looking for a programmer with a passion for 2D video games As an independent studio, we need versatile programmers able to work on a wide range of different aspects of video game development: gameplay, game engine, development tools, etc. Our ideal candidate should also be interested in 8-bit and 16-bit console games.


Responsibilities

  • Develop game mechanics in collaboration with the game designer and the team's artists.
  • Develop development tools (level editor, animation editor, etc.)
  • Working on porting to different consoles (example: porting a PC game to PS4/PS5).


Qualifications

  • A college or university degree in computer science.
  • Be functional in both spoken and written French and English.
  • Live in the Montreal area.
  • A passion for retro video games.


Skills

  • Mastery of C++ and C#.
  • Knowledge of WPF.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the team.
  • Have a collaborative spirit.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un·e programmeur·se passionné·e de jeux vidéo 2D Puisque nous sommes un studio indépendant, nos programmeur·es doivent faire preuve de polyvalence et donc être aptes à travailler sur différents aspects entourant le développement de jeux vidéo : gameplay, moteur de jeu, outils de développement, etc. Notre candidat·e idéal·e doit aussi s'intéresser aux jeux de consoles 8-bit et 16-bit.


Responsabilités

  • Développer des mécaniques de jeu en collaboration avec le game designer et les artistes de l'équipe.
  • Développer des outils de développement (éditeur de niveaux, éditeur d'animations, etc.)
  • Travail de portage sur différentes consoles (exemple : porter un jeu PC vers PS4/PS5).


Pré-requis

  • Un diplôme d'études collégiales ou universitaires en informatique.
  • Être fonctionnel·le en français et en anglais, parlés et écrits.
  • Habiter la région de Montréal.
  • Une passion pour les jeux vidéo rétro.


Compétences

  • Maîtrise du C++ et du C#.
  • Connaissance de WPF.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en mathématiques.
  • Excellente capacité de résolution de problèmes.
  • Bonnes capacités de communication avec l'équipe.
  • Avoir un esprit collaboratif.
