We work across the entire transformation journey — from vision and strategy through implementation and scaling — to deliver real business outcomes.**The Role**We are seeking an **Associate Director of Data & AI** to lead data and AI transformation programs for Canada’s leading enterprises.This role requires a unique blend of **business acumen, technical depth, and leadership capability**. You will partner with C-suite and senior executives to define data and AI strategies, lead teams in building modern data platforms, and deliver end-to-end solutions spanning machine learning, generative AI, and emerging agentic AI applications.You will drive both **business growth** and **delivery excellence**, ensuring Kyndryl’s Data & AI capabilities are positioned as a trusted enabler of business transformation.**Key Responsibilities****Client & Business Leadership*** Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology leaders to drive data and AI transformation agendas.* Translate client challenges into actionable data and AI strategies that deliver measurable business value.* Partner with account teams to identify, shape, and close new Data & AI opportunities.**Data Platform & AI Delivery Leadership*** Lead design and implementation of **modern data platforms** (e.g., lakehouse, data fabric, data mesh) leveraging cloud-native architectures and hyperscaler technologies.* Oversee delivery of end-to-end engagements spanning **data engineering, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation**.* Ensure engagement quality, business alignment, and client satisfaction across advisory and implementation phases.**AI Strategy & Innovation*** Define enterprise AI strategies, including adoption of **Generative AI and Agentic AI** to enhance decision-making, operations, and customer experiences.* Lead initiatives to operationalize AI through **MLOps, LLMOps, and governance frameworks**.* Drive innovation through accelerators, reusable assets, and reference architectures that showcase Kyndryl’s technical leadership.**Practice Growth & Leadership*** Collaborate with hyperscaler and ecosystem partners (Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake) to co-create and deliver modern AI solutions.* Mentor team members and cultivate a high-performing, innovation-driven culture.* Contribute to thought leadership, go-to-market offerings, and internal capability building.**Architecture Design & Technical Leadership*** Lead the **architecture, design, and implementation** of enterprise data and AI platforms using cloud-native and hybrid architectures.* Define end-to-end architectures that span **data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, ML/AI, and governance**.* Establish architectural standards, patterns, and reference models for data modernization and AI enablement.* Provide **technical direction and mentorship** to data engineers, ML engineers, and solution developers.**Your Future at Kyndryl** Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career. Whether you want to broaden your knowledge base or narrow your scope and specialize in a specific sector, you can find your opportunity here.**Who You Are****Required Experience & Skills*** 10+ years of experience leading **data, analytics, and AI transformation** programs within consulting, technology services, or enterprise organizations.* Proven experience **building and modernizing data platforms** on cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP).* Strong expertise in **machine learning, generative AI (LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning), and emerging agentic AI applications**.* Deep understanding of **data strategy, architecture, governance, and engineering practices**.* Demonstrated success in **engaging business stakeholders** and translating AI innovation into measurable business outcomes.* Strong **sales and client engagement skills** — ability to define value propositions and lead executive discussions.* Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management across business and technical domains.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience in one or more industries such as Financial Services, Public Sector, Utilities, or Telecommunications.* Understanding of **modern data architectures** (data mesh, data fabric, lakehouse) and operational frameworks (MLOps/LLMOps).* Hands-on familiarity with AI ecosystems and tools (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake).* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Business.* Prior consulting or practice leadership experience at a global technology or professional services firm.**Being You**Diversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
