The Role We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Architect to join our Microsoft Practice . This role is ideal for a technology professional with a strong consulting background and mindset , capable of bridging business strategy with technical architecture. As a key member of the Microsoft Practice, you will be responsible for consulting with clients, designing end‑to‑end Azure solutions, and providing technical leadership and delivery oversight across cloud transformation initiatives. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their digital transformation journey using Microsoft Azure technologies. Key Responsibilities Engage with clients to understand business challenges, technology landscape, and transformation objectives. Lead discovery and assessment workshops to define cloud strategy, adoption frameworks, and modernization roadmaps. Serve as a trusted Microsoft advisor—presenting strategic recommendations, architectural options, and best practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Delivery, and Microsoft Partner teams) to develop and position tailored solutions. Design and document scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized Azure architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. Define target cloud architectures, landing zones, integration patterns, and governance models aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework. Provide deep technical expertise on Azure core services, networking, identity, data, and DevOps. Support pre‑sales solutioning efforts—creating high‑level designs, cost models, and architecture proposals for RFPs or client engagements. Provide technical leadership and oversight during project delivery, ensuring solutions meet design and compliance requirements. Conduct architecture reviews, design validations, and risk assessments across active projects. Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads for on‑time, quality delivery aligned with client expectations. Mentor and guide technical teams to uphold Microsoft best practices and standards. Partner with the Microsoft Practice Leader to evolve the practice’s go‑to‑market strategy and solution offerings. Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, estimations, and client presentations. Support internal capability building—developing reusable accelerators, frameworks, and reference architectures. Maintain strong relationships with Microsoft field teams and stay current with new Azure releases and certifications. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in Azure cloud architecture and consulting roles. Proven experience within a consulting, systems integrator, or professional services environment. Expertise in cloud architecture design, modernization, and migration of enterprise applications to Azure. Deep knowledge across Azure services: Compute: Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS Data & Storage: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, Blob Storage Networking: VNets, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Firewalls Security & Governance: Azure AD, Defender, Sentinel, Blueprints Automation & DevOps: Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates Familiarity with FinOps, cost optimization, and TCO analysis. Strong understanding of Microsoft ecosystem integration (M365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365). Experience leading delivery oversight, governance, and architecture assurance activities. Certifications (Preferred) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (mandatory or in‑progress). Azure Administrator Associate or DevOps Engineer Expert. TOGAF, ITIL, or similar architecture/governance certifications (nice to have). Key Competencies Strong consulting acumen—able to translate business goals into technical strategy. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Hands‑on technical leadership with strategic thinking. Proven ability to lead teams and guide clients through complex transformations.
