About the Role We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. You will work with the our team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. You’ll play a key role in improving the frontend architecture for scalability, performance, and maintainability. As the technical lead for frontend development, you'll work closely with the existing team, mentor developers, and set best practices to ensure a high-quality user experience. This is a hands‑on role where you'll guide the evolution of our React app and drive the frontend technology strategy forward. However, you must reside in Canada. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical direction of the frontend architecture and codebase modernization Drive improvements to our standards of security, reliability, performance, tooling, and quality Mentor and support other frontend developers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence Plan technical roadmaps to simultaneously deliver features and manage technical debt and testing Actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems Who You Are Extensive experience with React and modern frontend development Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and code quality Experience with mentoring, coaching, and pair programming with team members Feel comfortable working in a non-structured, agile development environment with short release cycles Lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions within your team Experience with mobile web development (responsive, adaptive) and mobile first website development principles Nice to Have Experience with web accessibility (a11y) and building inclusive, accessible user interfaces Experience working with PDFs in web applications such as rendering, generating, or integrating PDF-related functionality Experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor If you are eager to make a meaningful impact on Planworth's growth journey, we invite you to apply for this position.
