Overview RED TIC is recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Specialist for a freelance assignment in Ottawa. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency. Responsibilities Design and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions. Manage and maintain servers, networks, and virtual environments. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Implement and maintain security measures and best practices. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide support to internal teams. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. Evaluate new technologies and solutions to meet business requirements. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security principles. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.). Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
