Position Overview To support project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA aims to strengthen its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is dedicated to developing the Sept-Îles area and executing projects in the mining, metals, and energy sectors. Our mechanical engineering teams are distinguished by their cutting-edge technical expertise and a deep understanding of operating and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment. Role Details Type: Regular Your role as engineer and project leader will involve participating in engineering tasks, technology selection, project execution, identifying business opportunities, and drafting proposals. You will play a key technical and management role, contributing to business development through maintaining client relationships. What We Offer Contributing to technical reports Leading design plans, specifications, and details under senior engineer guidance Performing design calculations and ensuring compliance with guidelines and codes Preparing material lists and bills of lading adhering to standards and quality systems Providing recommendations for standards and practical applications Coordinating work among team members Reviewing work of less experienced staff Managing budgets, schedules, and procedures Planning, organizing, and leading projects Conducting technical surveys Assisting in system commissioning and troubleshooting Candidate Qualities & Values Results-oriented and innovative in sustainable solutions Team-oriented with a fun and entrepreneurial spirit Standards and ethics-driven Qualifications & Requirements Degree in mechanical engineering, licensed with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in heavy industry Availability for short-term travel between Sept-Îles and Labrador City ASP Construction card Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Navisworks; assets include SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, ANSYS, Fathom Bilingual in English and French is preferred Benefits & Rewards Competitive salary based on a 37.5-hour week Premium programs, onsite mobility, and other benefits Group insurance, retirement plan, paid leave Employee referral bonuses Why Join BBA?
