Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a key role on our commercial team and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization. About The Legal Team At Riverside, the Legal team does more than just review contracts — we ensure the company’s growth is smart, strategic, and well-supported. On Your Day to Day Provide legal support to the business and sales teams throughout procurement processes, facilitate contract negotiations, and ensure successful closure of agreements Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including: Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreements Software licensing agreements Support and maintenance agreements Professional services contracts Non-disclosure agreements Advise on liabilities, legal restrictions, and risks associated with commercial agreements Provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel to teams across the company (Sales, Marketing, Product, R&D, etc.) Create and maintain standard templates, business processes, and internal policies to support scalability Perform additional duties as required Requirements What Will Make You Stand Out? 3–4 years of experience at a leading law firm supporting tech companies or as in-house counsel at a technology company Strong understanding of commercial transactions, including SaaS, licensing, and non-disclosure agreements Experience independently reviewing vendor agreements Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations, particularly GDPR Familiarity with developing AI regulations Business-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving commercial objectives Strong ability to prioritize competing tasks Excellent writing skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational abilities Location Requirement This role is open to candidates based in Ontario. Compensation The expected base salary range for this role is CAD $110 - 130 . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and skills.
