Regional Branch Manager (Prairies) Portage Mutual Insurance is seeking a dynamic Regional Branch Manager for our Prairies region. Reporting to the Vice‑President Underwriting and Business Development, the role will drive operational excellence, financial performance and cultural transformation across the Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie offices. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of regional strategies aligned with national objectives to drive sustainable growth. Oversee regional budgets, risk profiles, underwriting accounts and broker relationships; maintain regulatory compliance and risk appetite. Serve as liaison to provincial regulators and reinforce underwriting activities with corporate policies and reinsurance agreements. Build and empower high‑performing teams across both branches, fostering cross‑functional collaboration, continuous improvement and cultural transformation. Required Qualifications Post‑secondary degree in business, commerce, management or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role managing large teams. Industry designations required (e.g., CIP, FCIP, CRM). Training in leadership, organizational change or strategic planning is an asset. Skills and Abilities Broad understanding of underwriting, claims, risk management, HR, finance, marketing, and sales. Proven ability to lead teams through complex projects, regulatory changes and technology or process transformation. Strong commitment to inclusivity, integrity and the company’s values. Visionary leadership, people skills and strong communication with emotional intelligence. Strategic thinking, future planning and analytical/problem‑solving skills. Financial acumen; experience managing budgets, reporting and operational performance metrics. Collaboration with union representatives and ability to maintain workplace stability.
