Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-Îles Join to apply for the Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-Îles role at BBA Consultants. Type of position: Regular, Full-time Overview To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and in executing various projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. This expertise is combined with an unrivalled commitment and understanding of the issues involved in operating and maintaining industrial power systems. Responsibilities Assist our industrial clients in day-to-day operations: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset management Perform site surveys Participate in equipment testing and commissioning Perform short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash hazard studies and harmonic content analyses as well as steady-state and transient analyses in industrial power systems Design and read various types of electrical drawings Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reports Attend internal or client coordination meetings Participate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent) Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experience Available for short-term work assignments between Sept-Îles and our Labrador City office, depending on business needs Available for short-term and long-term assignments across Québec and the rest of Canada Knowledge of MS Office Suite and other database applications Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written Asset: Graduate from the Institut en génie de l’énergie électrique (IGEE) Asset: Onsite experience related to industrial networks Asset: Knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RV software Benefits Annual base salary and premium program for regular employees Onsite mobility premium; cell phone program Group insurance starting day one (short-term and long-term disability) Retirement saving plan; vacation and sick leave Profit-sharing program for regular employees Interesting growth opportunities and diverse roles Custom training and development plans Participation in innovation projects About BBA For over 40 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of engineering to serve our clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.
