Position Summary The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) plays a critical role in supporting customers, sales operations, and product line growth — particularly within the Dynamic Braking Resistor (DBR) and related electrical product segments. This position is ideal for candidates who combine a strong technical understanding of electrical components with the commercial acumen to help grow product lines, support customers, and collaborate with engineering and production teams. You will handle inbound inquiries, prepare technical proposals, and work closely with Territory Sales Managers and engineering partners to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound customer inquiries and provide accurate, timely responses. Prepare detailed technical quotations and proposals based on customer specifications. Support Territory Sales Managers with follow-ups, documentation, and project coordination. Liaise with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on customer requirements. Technical & Product Expertise Develop and maintain product knowledge, particularly in Dynamic Braking Resistors and VFD-related applications. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders. Translate complex technical details into clear, solution-oriented communication for clients. Market & Relationship Development Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts, distributors, and consulting engineers. Identify recurring customer needs and provide feedback to support product improvement and innovation. Support the sales organization in identifying new opportunities within targeted market segments. Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, or applications engineering within the electrical or industrial power products industry. Experience with any of the following product types is mandatory: resistors, switchgear, transformers, or VFDs. Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, drawings, and industrial applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer focus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Engineering or Electrical Technology diploma/degree required. Valid driver’s license; able to travel occasionally for client meetings or field support. Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset for supporting international LATAM clients. Logistics & Working Conditions Must reside within the Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Oakville, Milton).
