A Day In The Life The Senior Designer at lululemon creates world‑class athletic apparel that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit, and quality. Under the mentorship & partnership of the Design Manager & Design Director, you create and develop the line from inception of ideas to production of garments. You embed intuitive innovation into each product and find the blend of function and beauty. You are an expert in your technical knowledge and design ability, act as a resource and mentor for junior team members, excel at presenting concepts, and communicate seasonal direction and design to leadership. Responsible for designing and executing seasonal styles that reflect lululemon’s Mens Design ethos, conceptual creation, and administrative maintenance throughout the season. Combine active product use experience, market knowledge, trend research, and collaboration among lululemon designers to create functional, innovative, quality designs. Provide clear reference points for product storytelling, design, and construction. Understand male form, and be an expert in draping, creating, and conceptualizing during the design process. Partner with ambassadors/athletes to continually elevate and innovate the product. Allocate an assortment of styles in your category, work closely with senior team members to create design‑informed solutions for guests’ needs. Responsible for fitting styles to accurately communicate your design intent. Partner with the in‑house workshop to create mockups and prototypes. Work cross‑functionally within the pod, collaborating with product development, fit, merchandising, raw materials development and colour, sourcing, and design operations. Maintain razor‑sharp attention to detail around product/process, embed style, beauty, and fashion where needed, and find a balance in the product. Monitor line performance in stores, join key meetings for downloads, lead design meetings, and partner with leaders to act on feedback for continual product innovation and to guide junior team members. Qualifications 8‑10 years minimum industry experience. BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent). Proficient in Adobe Illustrator. Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, and Mac platform. Understanding of 3D design is a benefit. Compensation and Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offers are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is $119,200‑$156,500 annually; base pay is based on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
