For more information about the company and its products and services, please visit Procurement Manager, Fleet and Logistics (Full Time) Mississauga, ON The Procurement Manager - Fleet and Logistics is responsible for managing procurement activities related to fleet, logistics, and distribution, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fleet and logistics operations while aligning with the company’s business objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing and Category Management: Manage fleet and logistics commodities and other distribution-related categories, aiming for cost savings and operational efficiency. Supplier Relationship and Contract Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure performance and reliability in fleet and logistics services. Negotiate contracts such as vehicle leases, fuel programs, transportation services, and SLAs. Spend Analysis and Reporting: Analyze fleet and logistics spend data to identify optimization opportunities and create actionable insights for cost and efficiency improvements. Develop reports and forecast models to support financial planning. Procurement Execution: Lead supplier selection and procurement processes (RFX) across fleet and logistics categories, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness. Business Collaboration and Compliance: Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs and ensure regulatory compliance. Lease vs Buy Analysis: Evaluate vehicle acquisition methods (e.g., lease versus buy) to identify the most cost-effective and operationally sound solutions. Supplier Base Optimization: Lead supplier base optimization efforts, including fostering partnerships and introducing innovative operational solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline required. Advance degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional Certifications in Supply Chain management preferred. At least 5-7+ years of experience in managing procurement and 2-3 years in fleet and logistics categories. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities KPI- Oriented mindset with strong analytical capabilities. Problem-solving mindset with a proven ability to address and resolve complex challenges. Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills. In-depth understanding of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, Common Carriage, rail transportation, and overall logistics services. Highly organized and skilled at multitasking, with the capacity to manage diverse subcategories. Results-driven and collaborative, with a focus on driving savings, operational reliability, and continuous improvement. Proficient in ERP systems and logistics management tools for procurement tracking and reporting. Excellent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quickly learning and adapting to new company tools and platforms. Ability to adjust and thrive in a new and dynamic environment while maintaining focus on business objectives. Ability to manage people while working collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals.
