Muskoka Woods is a Christian youth development organization that welcomes everyone to an experience for a lifetime. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau, we specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world. Job Description The Program team is all about making sure our guests are thriving throughout the entire week at camp Program is in charge of supervising guests in their cabins, at meal times, during free time and at evening programs. The Senior High Program Director oversees the experience for our guests ages 13 to 14 years old, making sure everything we do hits our customer service standards for safety, detail, sizzle, and development. As the go-to person for this section, they are responsible for the design and delivery of evening programs. They lead and coach the Section Heads and counsellors, including training and providing feedback. The Senior High Director handles any issues that come up with guests and keeps parents in the loop. Plus, they are actively involved in daily and weekly meetings, supporting their team however they can. Summer Directors are regularly assigned to the Shutdown schedule and the Dining Room Maitre'd schedule.Leadership staff also contribute to the overall ministry to staff and are required to lead a staff small group and participate in our One to One staff mentoring program.All leadership staff contribute to alternate duties on guest arrival and departure days as well as the weekend stayover program. Staff are required to attend all meetings as outlined during staff training including Cadence and Small Group. Skills and Attributes Required Muskoka Woods is looking for staff whose personal values match the MW Core Values which includes having a passion for working with children and youth. The SH Program Director must have strong leadership skills including: planning, organizing and administration, time management, conflict resolution, and strong communication skills both oral and written. All staff must have a customer service mindset. Previous leadership experience, working with youth, running programs and working at summer camps is required. Salary Range $300 - $330 per week plus room and board Full Summer Bonus Each director who commits their entire summer (with some exceptions for Classic) will qualify for a $500 bonus to be given at the end of the summer. Contract Dates May 4 - September 5, 2026 Essential Functions Be able to help guests and staff in emergencies Have the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of guests and/or staff Have the ability to travel around camp with guests Join in on activities for 6 to 8 hours a day Lead both small and large group activities Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and guests Additional Notes Please note: All staff are required to uphold the Muskoka Woods Vision and Mission, Core Values and Aspirations, as well as all policies and procedures as outlined during our Staff Development Week held at the beginning of your contract. Please note: All Counsellors stay in a cabin with guests. All other staff stay in shared staff accommodation.
