Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Municipal /Land Development Bilingual Designer Engineer with a keen interest in leading projects and interfacing with clients. In this role you will work on project management, planning and engineering design for commercial and residential development infrastructure (parking lots, roads, sewers, water mains, storm water management studies and calculations, etc.). The role can be based in our Ottawa or Gatineau offices. We have a hybrid model, with the expectation to be in the office 2 times a week. Primary Responsibilities Perform and lead the design of infrastructure projects for various clients throughout Ontario and Quebec (including road and parking infrastructures, potable water distribution and fire protection systems, storm and sanitary sewers plans and profiles, site drainage and storm water management design, calculations, studies and planning, etc.) Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders to guide projects through the approval processes With assistance from the Project Director, participate in the management of project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations Mentor 1-2 staff members on fundamentals of detail design of Civil /Siteworks infrastructure work and general project management skills Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of municipal infrastructure Previous experience managing projects would be an asset; however, mentorship is available for the right individual Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) and/or Quebec (ing.) licence or eligible to obtain it French communication skills highly preferred; English communication skills required Valid driver's licence Additional Information Ethics and integrity are fundamental values at CIMA+.
