Bilingual Designer Engineer – Municipal / Land Development Project We offer an exciting opportunity for a Municipal / Land Development Bilingual Designer Engineer to lead projects and interface with clients. The role will focus on project management, planning, and engineering design for commercial and residential subdivision infrastructure, including parking, roads, sewers, water mains, and storm water management. The position can be based in our Ottawa or Gatineau offices with a hybrid model—expect to be in the office 2 times per week. Primary Responsibilities Lead the design of infrastructure projects throughout Ontario and Quebec, including road, parking, potable water distribution, fire protection systems, storm and sanitary sewers, and site drainage. Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to navigate approval processes. Assist the Project Director in managing project resources, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to meet client expectations. Mentor 1–2 staff members on detail design fundamentals and general project management skills. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience designing municipal infrastructure. Experience managing projects is an asset; mentorship is available. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent. Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) and/or Quebec (ing.) licence or eligible to obtain it. French communication skills highly preferred; English communication skills required.
