Job Title: IT Infrastructure Analyst Reports To: Manager, Technology Department: Information Systems & Technology Position Summary The IT Infrastructure Analyst role will use the skills required of a Systems Administrator in an in-house or hosted environment, as well as a working knowledge of the skills required to provision, manage, monitor, and decommission in-house/cloud services. Responsibilities Security Manage various security systems including Rapid7 SIEM, Rapid7 InsightVM, Darktrace. Monitor and analyze security alerts from various systems and tools to identify potential threats. Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure timely remediation of identified risks. Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to enhance organizational security posture. Configure and deploy various firewall solutions, including hardware (Palo Alto) and software-based firewalls. Set up Palo Alto rules, policies, and access controls to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow. Regularly update PA firewall firmware and apply patches to mitigate vulnerabilities. Ensure server virus protection, anti‑spyware, and other security applications are up to date and that these updates are being deployed across all systems. Network Design and implement LAN/WAN architectures to support business operations, ensuring scalability and reliability. Configure routers, switches, and wireless access points from vendors such as Ruckus and OPSWAT. Implement VLANs and VPNs to segregate and secure network traffic. Monitor and maintain physical/virtual servers, operating systems, and software patches, upgrades, and required technical and preventive maintenance activities as needed. AI Design, deploy, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure optimized for AI and machine learning workloads. Collaborate with the data analyst team to support AI pipelines, model training, and inference environments. Other Technologies Administer and manage Microsoft 365 Applications. Ensure infrastructure hardware and software inventories are always current and up to date. Administer, perform, and fully document server backups, restores, and protocols, check log files daily, and self‑audit to test procedures to ensure viability of stored historic data on a regular basis. Assist in conducting the yearly disaster‑recovery IT infrastructure activities. Support Provide Tier 3 technical support for infrastructure systems and user endpoint devices. Provide after‑hours support and maintenance when needed as an escalation point to help‑desk calls in a timely fashion, ensuring that proper resolution and information is captured. Ensure all change management, incident management, daily checklists, and procedures are followed and that all changes are documented and then archived in the appropriate place. Compile, create, and maintain infrastructure documentation including network topology, cabling configurations, hardware configurations, and server runbooks. Periodic travel to satellite offices for installations and technical maintenance. Proactively evaluate new technologies and participate in decision making regarding solving future technical issues and long‑term technical direction. Contribute to monthly operational reports for capacity planning. Other duties as assigned. Formal Education & Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3‑4 years of equivalent work experience. Certifications in ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, 365 Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CISSP are an asset. Knowledge And Experience Working technical knowledge of in‑house network, server, and platform operating systems. Knowledge of Microsoft SaaS and PaaS solutions including Entra ID, InTune, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online. Experience with Microsoft corporate office solutions such as Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Windows 10 & 11 Enterprise. Strong system administration (Linux/Unix or Windows) at the command‑line level. Experience with creating, running, and maintaining PowerShell scripts. Proficient in creating and configuring Active Directory Group Policy Objects, InTune policy and Entra conditional access policies. Familiarity with modern e‑mail security solutions; experience with Checkpoint Harmony Email Security is an asset. Hands‑on software and hardware troubleshooting experience. Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure. Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, and Identity Management. Security, identity, and access management: IAM in the cloud. Understanding of IT process, governance, and IT frameworks (NIST and CIS are an asset). Personal Attributes Strong customer‑service orientation. Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals. Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required. Ability to present ideas and solutions in user‑friendly language. Highly self‑motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Skilled at working within a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Available to work weekends and evenings as needed. The expected base pay range is: $75,000–$95,000.
