Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of labour and employment files assigned by supervising lawyer
  • Work on a variety of challenging matters including advocacy before boards and tribunals, and experience handling human rights applications and wrongful dismissal claims
  • Drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, terminations and dismissal
  • Ability to work on a variety of sophisticated and diverse labour and employment files and to balance competing priorities
  • Opportunity for hands-on experience with clients and to run files independently


Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 years of labour and employment experience at a law firm
  • A license to practice in Ontario
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and drafting skills
  • High level of attention to detail
