Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Description Senior Business Systems Analyst role at J&M Group Primary purpose of the Role: Plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical / functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks. Provide technical leadership and work in close partnership with business partners, technology, project teams and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications. Key Accountabilities Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts, Enterprise/Solution Architects, to translate high level solutions into detailed requirements for downstream System Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers Build consensus and compromise between teams to resolve conflicts Drive the creation of various integration documents including Source to Target mapping, Business Processes flow, and Support Processes flow Drive the creation of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria. Develop a holistic understanding of underlying processes and be able to disseminate information downstream Sign off on work completed ensuring it meets acceptance criteria Ensure the quality of all documentation published by the team's Analysts Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system capabilities and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners (e.g., Solution Designers and Architects) Define, document, and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account nonfunctional requirements Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing Support and contribute to project management activities by participating in the scoping and estimating of project efforts, risks identification and mitigation measures recommendation, communicating activity status and providing timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems to the Project Manager Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements Support collaboration with key stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration May provide operational / process related analysis and support to various extents Qualifications Experience in Data Integration, Data mapping, Data analysis is a must for this role Experience in performing analysis on the quality of data, investigating & identifying the root cause of bad data quality issues Experience in Agile Methodology Experience in any other Credit Banking applications or Business Banking applications is an asset Experience in the Financial industry is an asset Advanced to Expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques Advanced to Expert knowledge of systems and applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules Advanced to Expert knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise including design, development, testing and project management Advanced understanding of business supported Works independently as the senior or lead system analyst and coaches/guides members within area of expertise Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams Generally, reports to a Manager or Senior Manager Experience & Education Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate 8+ years relevant experience Seniority level Entry level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
