The Opportunity We have a phenomenal career opportunity for Boiler Machinery Engineers in the Alberta and Saskatchewan region. Reporting to an Engineering Supervisor, you will lead assigned inspection territories, provide jurisdictional inspections, loss prevention duties, and claims adjusting work. You will also provide technical support to Engineering Underwriting. What you’ll do You will lead the inspection of insured risks to assess exposures and equipment, production flow and safe operation of equipment, and jurisdictional inspections. You will efficiently handle loss‑adjustment investigations from the date reported to the final invoices. You will be motivated and diligent in mastering the interpretation of all policy forms. You will use your interpersonal skills and knowledge to write inspection reports and certificates of inspection. You will focus on quality assurance, completing repair approvals and administration aligned with the task. You will complete survey reports for quotes on challenging and exiting accounts prior to binding. You will build relationships with brokers to provide marketing services and accompany them on site visits. What you’ll bring 3 to 5 years of experience in building or production‑facility maintenance. Post‑secondary technical education or apprenticeship. Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non‑technical audiences. Self‑motivated, organized, and dedicated to meeting deadlines. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database usage. Valid driver’s licence due to required travel. Power engineer 2nd class or stationary engineer 2nd class is a strong asset. Knowledge of ASME codes. National Board Commission experience. CIP and CRM certificates.
