Job Description:


Specific focus areas for SAP CO:

  • Product costing Activities
  • Controlling Cost objects
  • Parallel valuation on material master
  • Production order variance calculations
  • Production order absorption and settlements.


  1. Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment and settlement).
  2. Understanding of standard cost functionality to calculate a cost estimate Understanding of the use of material and multiple currencies using parallel valuation.
  3. Ability to apply technical solutions and provide recommendations based on business requirements and needs.
  4. Understanding of Production order variance categories and ability to analyze standard vs actual production order cost
  5. Understanding of statutory and tax requirements around transfer pricing and reporting at batch level with source of manufacture Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  6. Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.
  7. Design, customize, configure and testing of FI/CO modules.
  8. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions. Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems.
  9. Document functional designs, test cases and results.
  10. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
  11. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects
  12. Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
  13. Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members
