Sr. Consultant, Asset Management & Resilience Join GFT as a Senior Consultant in the Asset Management and Resilience practice based in Toronto. This role is a hybrid position that requires regular office attendance and focuses on leading complex consulting engagements for public infrastructure clients across Transit, Transportation, and Utilities sectors. What You Will Do Lead, manage, and deliver end-to-end consulting projects in infrastructure asset management. Provide technical, strategic, and project‑management leadership to multidisciplinary teams. Develop client relationships, manage project budgets, and ensure delivery excellence. Support business development pursuits and contribute to GFT’s market visibility. Mentor junior consultants and collaborate across practice lines on standardized methodologies. Ensure compliance with ISO 55001, PAS 55, and other industry standards. Drive asset‑management policy development, lifecycle planning, and risk‑based decision making. Responsibilities (Business Development) Lead and support pursuit activities with practice and corporate leadership. Build and maintain client relationships and present proposals and technical materials. Track opportunities and pipeline through corporate systems. Represent GFT at conferences and client forums. Responsibilities (Project Delivery) Scope, plan, execute, and close consulting projects. Create project management plans, risk registers, and resource allocations. Coordinate cross‑practice teams and sub‑consultants for alignment with goals and quality standards. Deliver technical reports, data analyses, and presentations to clients. Apply asset lifecycle, cost, and risk optimization principles to generate client value. Develop and implement asset‑management policies, frameworks, and governance structures. Support asset condition assessment, service level definition, and capital prioritization. Responsibilities (Financial & Quality Control) Monitor project budgets, invoicing, and earned‑value metrics. Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships. Conduct project reviews for schedule, quality, and financial performance. Lead QA/QC reviews under GFT’s Quality Management System. Document and mitigate project risks. Responsibilities (Leadership & Collaboration) Mentor junior consultants and foster a culture of technical excellence. Collaborate with practice leaders to develop standardized tools and methodologies. Participate in knowledge‑sharing and development of thought‑leadership materials. What You Will Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Planning, Economics, Public Administration, or related discipline. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in asset management or infrastructure lifecycle planning. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary consulting projects. Expertise in asset‑management program design, lifecycle planning, and risk‑based decision making. Knowledge of PAS 55 and ISO 55001 standards. Proficiency with enterprise asset‑management systems (e.g., Maximo, Infor, Hexagon, AssetWorks) and data‑analytics tools (e.g., ArcGIS, Power BI, Excel). What We Prefer Master’s Degree in Economics, Civil Engineering, Planning, or related fields. 12+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in asset management or infrastructure lifecycle planning. Experience in public‑sector infrastructure asset management, especially in transit or municipal settings. Understanding of standard transportation planning and financial modeling practices. Certification from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or PMP designation preferred. Experience with data transformation, system integration, and maintenance‑management processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills and client‑facing experience. Compensation & Location The salary range is dependent on experience and geographic location. The position is based in Toronto, Ontario. Employment Status: Full‑time. Sponsorship for Canadian work authorization is not available for this position. Local candidates will be given preference.
