VP of Finance — Accent Inns (Victoria, BC) Accent Inns Inc. is a BC-based hospitality company. We lead with love and prioritize staff happiness. Our brands include Accent Inns, Hotel Zed, and ROAR in Tofino, BC. Role overview: The VP of Finance will be wholly responsible for financial compliance and providing the finance team with the information needed to support the organization. The role will increase financial literacy and contribute to setting the long-term strategic plan, keep the team informed on up-to-date financials, analyze industry trends, and provide strategic input on growth and brand performance. You will lead a high-performing Finance team and partner across operations to optimize financial planning and reporting. Reporting and collaboration: This role reports to the President and works closely with the CEO, supporting the finance team and cross-functional partners to meet the organization’s needs and future goals. In your first 3 months, you will: Spend time learning from the Finance team about current processes Build trusting relationships with each team member through 1-on-1s Build relationships with your team, understand needs, and begin leading with a supportive style Learn and practice Leading with Love philosophy and how to lead at Accent Inns Learn about feedback, coaching, and mentorship programs and begin using them with your teams Meet 1-on-1 with each Care Bear to understand roles and departments Build partnerships with Mandy to understand her needs as Finance leader Build connections across the organization Audit Finance, accounting, and audit systems with the Controller Complete the Orientation program for new leaders Work with the Senior Vice President to understand Operations–Finance partnership Review Sales, Marketing, and Revenue metrics to learn the business In your first 12 months, you will: Systematize and update reporting in Sage Intacct for self-service by Care Bears and leaders Build key financial dashboards for the Board, President, CEO, and Care Bears Develop individual development plans for your team to foster growth Identify expansion opportunities with the Care Bears Share industry trends and recommendations to maintain competitive advantage Manage the 2026 audit Foster Change Management within Finance and across Care Bears Collaborate with Senior Vice President on inventory control, procurement, and vendor negotiations Assist VP of P&C on financial risk policy audits Deliver key financial reports to the CEO, President, and Board Partner with Operations on cost-control programs to maximize efficiency Contribute to Care Bear strategy planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis Lead technology and AI implementation discussions for finance goals and people strategy Build strong relationships with your team and across the organization You will be a key voice in strategic planning and financial decision-making for Accent Inns, Hotel Zed, and ROAR.
