Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be an essential collaborator with their business partners and focus on providing the data, budgets, and analyses necessary for informed decision-making for all of Ren's Pets major functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Participate in the month-end process, prepare journal entries and identify risks and opportunities.
• Participate in the preparation and development of budgets and financial forecasts; Ensure budgetary control of operating costs.
• Produce and analyze inventory, sales, margins and loyalty program reports.
• Act as a business partner for the retail, category management, and marketing teams.
• Provide recommendations based on financial analyses. Be the economic conscience in the discussions.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and identify opportunities for automation and simplification of recurring accounting processes.

What makes you an ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a FP&A position
• CPA accounting designation (asset)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Rigor and attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and a keen sense of synthesis developed
• Speed of execution and adaptability in an ever-changing environment
• Great sense of confidentiality
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (important asset), SAP, Business Object , WEB BI (asset), Tableau/Power BI, and Office365 suite with strong proficiency in Excel
• Bilingualism is an asset
