Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be an essential collaborator with their business partners and focus on providing the data, budgets, and analyses necessary for informed decision-making for all of Ren's Pets major functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Participate in the month-end process, prepare journal entries and identify risks and opportunities.
  2. Participate in the preparation and development of budgets and financial forecasts; Ensure budgetary control of operating costs.
  3. Produce and analyze inventory, sales, margins and loyalty program reports.
  4. Act as a business partner for the retail, category management, and marketing teams.
  5. Provide recommendations based on financial analyses. Be the economic conscience in the discussions.
  6. Participate in the continuous improvement of procedures and identify opportunities for automation and simplification of recurring accounting processes.

What makes you an ideal candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a FP&A position
  3. CPA accounting designation (asset)
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills
  5. Rigor and attention to detail
  6. Strong analytical skills and a keen sense of synthesis developed
  7. Speed of execution and adaptability in an ever-changing environment
  8. Great sense of confidentiality
  9. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (important asset), SAP, Business Object, WEB BI (asset), Tableau/Power BI, and Office365 suite with strong proficiency in Excel
  10. Bilingualism is an asset
