Role Impact To provide support to the Finance Lease Analysts and coordinate the set-up of all new properties in the Commercial Management system; maintain policies and procedures for SSLE, the Recovery system and the Lease Administration function. The incumbent will maintain Commercial Management validations in Yardi, unit files, Tenant Codes and system level codes. This role is responsible for training the Finance Lease Analysts, supporting the Recovery Billing process as well as Lease interpretation. What you will deliver Reviews recovery workbooks for accuracy and makes any necessary changes in order to ensure each tenant is billed correctly and in accordance with the terms and conditions of their lease. Updates and creates instruction manuals for all aspects of the lease administration function, including SSLE and recoveries, by reviewing manuals, policies and procedures and recommending revisions that will provide users with the most effective tools with which to conduct their area of the business. Provides direction in regards to tenant queries by reviewing leases and communicating with the Finance Lease Analysts and General Managers to ensure tenants have a full understanding of the terms and conditions of the lease and that policies are applied consistently and equitably across the company. Coordinates the activities of all indirect reports to ensure the timely achievement of department goals, within prescribed policies, procedures and standard business practices. Ensures compliance to lease administration certification process is adhered to. Analyzes and consolidates reports including special projects as required from time to time. Maintains tenant codes, unit inventory, and other commercial management systems functions as required by Finance Lease Analysts. Conducts audits of lease administration recovery stages to success ensuring set-up is in accordance with certification process. Maintains precedent lease binder. Manages the administration and review of mass document requests across the company. Manages the administration of telecommunication deals across the company. Manages the administration of National Promotion and Short‑term deals. Supports the implementation and documentation of new Yardi releases in relation to commercial management. Organizes and leads monthly Lease Administration conference calls. Conducts presentations as required within the Finance or Operations teams. Participate in technology optimization projects as required. Support Year End Audit questions from both internal and external Auditors. What your strengths are Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to influence and interact with all levels: senior management, peers and indirect reports Tact and diplomacy Strong organizational and prioritization skills Good presentation skills Team player Ability to work under pressure and handle stress Demonstrated ability to interpret lease documents Solid knowledge of accounting principles Strong and effective decision-making skillsExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills What you need to succeed University degree in Business, Commerce or Law or equivalent relevant experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in Property Management and Lease Administration Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience an asset Solid knowledge of the following: Real Estate industry Accounting principles and practices Interpretation of lease documents Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Yardi Salary and Benefits Starting base salary for this job level may range from $81,433 to $108,577. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
