FibrePlate™: Making the Impossible, Possible. The Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring products and process compliance to ensure that both internal and external customer & ISO 9001 requirements are consistently met. This role leads and supports ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement. The position includes inspection, testing, internal auditing, and systematic collection of data and objective evidence to confirm compliance with established standards and regulations. This position will be based in Fibracast head office in Hannon, Ontario. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain safety standards and performs all duties according to Fibracast's safety policies. Upholds a high level of confidentiality while managing sensitive documents and data that influence process and product changes. Lead and support ISO 9001 implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement activities. Act as ISO 9001 Internal / Lead Auditor: plan, conduct, report, and follow up on internal audits. Support external ISO 9001 certification and surveillance audits. Manage non-conformance situations and lead root cause analysis to minimize recurrence. Apply structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D and 5-WHY analysis. Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues. Develop and implement process & product Inspection plans and audit plans. Manage engineering changes and demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving results. Preparing and presenting quality audit & inspection reports to the management team. Monitors, records, and documents data in an organized and accurate fashion Adheres to all operational procedures and policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, as well as Quality and Environment programs. Effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel Good organizational and interpersonal skills & strong attention to detail Adheres to Fibracast core values, integrity, respect, trust and honesty. Experience/Education College Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality-related field. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification required or strongly preferred. Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System principles Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 QMS Familiarity with quality concepts such as process flow diagrams, failure modes, and non-conformance management Ability to use basic measurement tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) 3 years’ experience in manufacturing: Inspecting, Testing, & Auditing. Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency to achieve results. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to uphold confidentiality. Exceptional attention to detail. Advanced organizational skills & excellent communication skills.
