Someone with 1-3 years of HR experience, with great problem-solving skills, who has the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment. As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to our employees regarding benefits, new hire administration, onboarding, and HR policies and procedures. This position requires a well-rounded, detailed-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills. As an HR Advisor, you will serve as the first point of contact for employee assistance through our AskHR support portal, responding to employee questions and requests via telephone, chat, email, and drop-in face-to-face interactions. You will obtain and provide requested information and take appropriate action to resolve, refer, or elevate issues in accordance with company and HR policies and procedures, working closely with our field HR teams, employees and management. Location This position is based out of our Oakville Office Responsibilities Professionally and accurately respond to written and oral inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR questions, issues, problems. This will include telephone, chat, e‑mail, and drop‑in face‑to‑face interactions Manage employee changes, special pays, employee updates, Tuition Reimbursement requests, and report requests Plan and conduct new hire orientation (in‑person and remote sessions) Interface with Centers of Excellence partners to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems Quickly and accurately resolve cases in a professional, sensitive, customer‑focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures Escalate complex cases to achieve resolution Maintain a high degree of confidentiality Qualifications 1-3 years of Human Resources experience Degree in Human Resources or related preferred Knowledge of various areas of human resources including benefits, employment, pay‑related practices/process, and compensation Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong problem‑solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Familiarity with HRIS systems a plus Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to multi‑task and prioritize multiple projects Strong analytical skills Ability to work independently or with a team High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Other Requirements Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
