Area Manager shall provide leadership, direction, and goals for an Operations Team. Responsible for supervising multiple projects by managing numerous store managers and direct reports, acting as an intermediary between field operations and management. The Area Manager holds responsibilities for achieving aggressive operational goals and targets, focusing on high levels of customer satisfaction and sales performance for at least 5-6 stores. Store assignments may change based on business needs. Responsibilities Your area could include supervising up to 7-12 stores and may change as per business needs. Ensures the communication, understanding and belief in the company's goals and mission statement. Coaches all employees to work towards a common company objective. Responsible for company monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections. Oversees Store Managers to ensure that daily and weekly staff schedules are in direct relation to daily, weekly revenue. Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to achieve targets. Gives prompt and proper direction to Store Managers and Direct reports. Provide leadership and support for all direct reports to ensure they excel in their roles to enhance employee engagement, drive results and achieve top performance. Develop a positive collaborative working relationship with staff and partners to aid company performance. Adheres and enforces all company safety policies and procedures. Attends to any emergencies as they arise at the store level and provide resolution or the appropriate level of communication. Identify operational and merchandising deficiencies in all stores and provide solutions and guidance to all stores. Leads any training initiatives to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Assumes responsibility for job and store profitability by finding areas of improvement and implementing initiatives. Develop a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization to accomplish the company’s mission. Attends Store and Head office meetings as required. Other duties as assigned. Regional Travel is an essential requirement in this position. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or 5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years in the retail industry in a multi‑unit role. CannSell certification and a clean police record check. Cannabis Retail Store Manager license from AGCO (asset). Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, e‑mail software and internet usage. Excellent business math skills (calculation of discounts, interest rates, percentages, etc.). Strong communication skills – clear, confident speaking in all business settings and ability to conduct and preside over meetings. Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor progress of direct reports. Ability to motivate, inspire, provide and accept feedback to and from employees. Prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets. Responsibility for subordinates’ activities, availability to staff, providing regular performance feedback, developing subordinates’ skills and encouraging growth.
