This role is a position with the Nectar First tech team, which focuses on building innovative marketing technology and products for fast-growing brands and the largest CPGs in the world. 

 

The Nectar First tech team has 

 

  • Built a next-gen retail media mix modeling platform 
  • Built an automated social boosting and ad optimization platform 
  • Built a creator discovery system using the bleeding edge of GenAI technologies

The Role 

 

Nectar First is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of marketing technology products to serve the largest companies in the world  

 

  • Monitoring and Measurement systems for the largest CPGs in the world 
  • Bespoke Retail, eCommerce, and Marketing research projects  
  • Enterprise MLOps Pipelines and ETL  
  • Financial technology for marketers and creative production 
  • Automated social activation platform 

 

Expectations 

 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will partner with internal and client business and engineering teams to develop novel products, new systems and achieve client business goals. A Senior Engineer at Nectar First is expected to: 

  • Build actionable KPIs, informative deep dives, and scalable data products 
  • Lead product delivery and own execution of novel technology projects  
  • Apply and develop specialized programming and software system skills to solve complex business objectives 
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence and creativity 
  • Influence business-stakeholders to drive innovation and technology development

Qualifications 

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience 
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Tailwind, and NodeJS 
  • Experience with untyped languages such as Python for backend development and relevant data management libraries 
  • Familiarity with production application deployment and maintenance on AWS and/or Google Cloud 
  • Familiarity with data orchestration and pipeline management 
  • Experience owning and delivering projects 
  • Experience with SQL and no-SQL based systems 
  • BASc in Computer Science, Statistics, Software Engineering or related field 

 

Preferred 

  • Marketing and advertising measurement experience 
  • ‘Big Tech’ experience 
  • Track record of excellence
